Description

Record and play back up to UHD 4K video in ProRes 422 MOV format without a computer using the ProRes UHD 4K Video Recorder from Datavideo. This compact desktop-style recorder features a bright 5″ touchscreen LCD to view your video from the 12G/3G-SDI and HDMI inputs while viewing multiple inputs simultaneously. It also allows you to configure, monitor, and record video up to UHD 4K resolutions onto a separately available, removable 2.5″ Samsung 860 Pro SSD in one of its two slots. It can also monitor and record balanced analog audio via its dual XLR inputs and outputs.

The HDR-80 features one 12G/3G-SDI input that can record a single source up to UHD 4K video, and it also features three additional 3G-SDI inputs that allow you to record up to four simultaneous 1080p video sources. There is also one HDMI 2.0 input to record UHD 4K and one HDMI 1.4 input to record up to 1080p video. You can output and monitor video via one 12G/3G-SDI output, one HDMI 2.0 output, and three HDMI 1.4 outputs.

The record function supports ProRes 422, Proxy, LT, and HQ sampling formats in QuickTime MOV file format, recorded to the internal 2.5″ SSD formatted in exFAT drive format. The audio is recorded in up to 24-bit uncompressed PCM format with a sample rate of 48 kHz. Additional features include genlock and timecode input and output, as well as remote control via DVIP over a LAN and RS-232/422 serial communication.

ProRes 4K Video Recorder-Desktop
HDR-80 is a ProRes 4K recorders that record video on two SSD hard drives. It is a desktop model meant to be used on a tabletop. The recorder has a high resolution 5” LCD touch screen on the front for video monitoring, device settings, and configuration.

HDR-80 is able to record video in resolutions up to 2160p 60 using the available SDI and HDMI interfaces at the back. SDI is available in bitrates all the way from HD up to 12G-SDI while HDMI connections support both HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 technology. With multiple HDMI and SDI inputs, you can also record up to four 1080p sources at the same time.

Dual SSD drives ensure sufficient storage for long-duration recording. As one disk fills up, the recording automatically continues on the next disk. It’s easy to expand video storage by swapping a single disk.

Easy post-edit and playback. 
Compressed videos are saved on two 2.5″ SSD D. If one disk is full, the recording will automatically continue on the second disk. It’s easy to expand storage for continuous recording.

Supports one 4K HDMI input, one 12G DSI input, and three 3G-SDI inputs as well as video outputs with embedded audio. Audio input can be embedded into the video for output playback thus making HDR-80 the device for live event broadcasts.

4K Recording & Compressed in 10-Bit 4:2:2 ProRes
The 4K recorders use a 10-bit ProRes 422 compressed codec for recording UHD 4K videos. Apple ProRes, a codec technology developed for high-quality, high-performance editing in Final Cut Pro X, is one of the most popular codecs in professional post-production.

The recorder has a high resolution 5” LCD touch screen on the front for video monitoring, device settings, and configuration. The monitor also provides a complete suite of scopes and calibration tools such as waveform, vectorscope, focus peaking to ensure perfect recording.

4 Channels Recording and Operated Like a Video Switcher
Not just for a single-camera setup, HDR-80 can record up to four 1080p60 streams simultaneously to separate ProRes files. All files are synced with the same time code, making it easy for tracking during post-production.

The HDR-80 is not only a ISO recorder, it can also be used as a four channel HD video switcher. Display all four sources in quadview, you can cue and simply tap the touch screen to switch seamlessly between cameras. PGM output can even be used for live streaming.
